The Axis Balance Shoes outsole is a global innovation, patented and awarded the Gold Medal for Innovation. It is a dynamic outsole that enhances ankle stability and postural stability, thereby optimizing balance.
The Axis Balance Shoes sole is the result of joint research and experience by two professionals from Dijon: Éric Mouillon, a posturologist and designer of medical footwear for over 20 years, and Pascal Chenut, a podiatrist with proven expertise spanning more than 35 years.
The Axis Balance Shoes are perfectly suited for anyone seeking improved balance. They are effective at any age, whether for fall prevention in older adults or for athletes resuming activity and looking to stabilize their ankles.
Our technology
01 START
As soon as the foot strikes the ground, the posterior part is bevelled and therefore prevents your heel from striking too hard, helping the foot to roll smoothly.
The lengthwise track means that small stones do not unbalance the heel sideways.
02 PUSH
At the the midsole, a large hollow surface plays the same role as the track.
Two central side bands are 2mm higher and flatten with weight to improve the general stability of the foot.
The circular arc shape provides a multi-directional non-slip effect and consequently better stability.
These two elements combined limit the risk of internal and external torsion of the foot.
03 PROPULSION
The foot is completely stabilized to the side elements, providing optimum swing. Toe curving is designer to avoid the shoe getting stuck on the ground.
OTHER SPECIFICITIES :
A shank is incorporated in the outsole of the shoe in order to meet requirement specifications in some countries regarding the rigidity of soles.

The aim of this study was to measure the effect of wearing Axis Balance Shoes on postural balance compared with the subjects’ own shoes.
The study reproduced balance tests without familiarisation and after a few days of familiarisation (after daily use of Axis Balance Shoes). Here are the conclusions for the elderly:
